Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know I am getting pure, high-quality ingredients?

We don't do "hobby grade." The ingredients you buy for your home kitchen are the exact same USP-grade and cosmetic-grade raw materials we supply to top laboratories. Plus, we believe in radical transparency—you can always ask us for the Certificate of Analysis (COA) for your batch.

Are your products food grade or cosmetic grade?

Our raw materials are strictly professional cosmetic grade. Even though they are incredibly pure and safe for your skin and hair formulations, they are absolutely not meant for your kitchen pantry, baking, or internal consumption.

Do you test your ingredients on animals?

Never. We are 100% cruelty-free. We firmly believe that creating beautiful, effective skincare should never come at the expense of our furry friends.

Are your ingredients safe for beginners to use?

Absolutely! We cater to everyone from first-time weekend crafters to seasoned chemists. While our raw materials are professional-grade, we provide clear usage rates, handling guidelines, and safety tips on every product page so you can formulate with total confidence.

Do I need a business license to buy from you?

Not at all! We broke the barrier of "Minimum Order Quantities." Whether you want a 100g pouch to experiment with a new recipe, or 50 drums for a full factory production run, you get the exact same respect, service, and purity.

I have a registered indie brand. Can I get a GST invoice?

Yes, you absolutely can. We provide transparent B2B GST billing to help you manage your business costs. Just pop your GST details into the checkout page, or include them when you use our Bulk Buy form.

How long will it take for my ingredients to arrive?

We know you are excited to get into the lab! We process orders as quickly as possible. For standard retail orders across India, delivery usually takes 3 to 7 business days depending on your pin code. Heavy bulk freight orders will require a little extra logistics coordination.

Can I return an ingredient if I accidentally ordered the wrong one?

Because of the strict hygiene, safety, and purity standards required for raw cosmetic chemicals, we cannot accept returns once a package has left our facility. However, if an item arrives damaged in transit, just reach out to our support team with a photo within 48 hours, and we will make it right!

Why did my homemade lotion separate, and can I fix it?

Don't panic, separation happens to the best of us! When a lotion separates, it just means the emulsion broke. This usually happens because your oil and water phases weren't at the exact same temperature when mixed, or you needed a bit more co-emulsifier (like Cetyl Alcohol). Next time, ensure both phases are heated to around 70°C and use a high-shear stick blender for a super tight bind.

Do I really need to wear a mask when working with SCI Powder?

Yes, please do! SCI (Baby Foam) is incredibly gentle on the skin, but the dry powder is exceptionally fine and goes airborne very easily. Breathing in that fine dust will irritate your throat. Always pop on a standard dust mask while weighing it out. Once the powder is mixed with your wet ingredients, you can take the mask off!

Can I mix Vitamin C and Niacinamide in the same DIY serum?

It is usually best to keep them separate! Vitamin C (L-Ascorbic Acid) needs a highly acidic environment (a pH around 3.5) to stay stable, while Niacinamide prefers a neutral pH (around 6.0). Mixing them can cause them to cancel each other out or trigger skin flushing. Pro tip: Make two serums! Use Vitamin C in your morning routine and Niacinamide at night.

How do I figure out the right usage rate for an active powder?

We take the guesswork out of formulating for you. On every single product page, we clearly list the safe, industry-standard usage rate (for example, 1-5% for Niacinamide) right in the description so you know exactly how much to add to your formula.

How should I store active powders like Kojic Acid so they don't go bad?

Moisture, heat, and direct sunlight are the ultimate enemies of active ingredients! Keep your pouches tightly sealed in a cool, dark, and dry raw-materials cupboard. If a white powder ever starts turning yellow or brown, it means it has oxidized and it is time to mix a fresh batch.

Do I need to keep my carrier oils in the refrigerator?

Most stable carrier oils are perfectly happy living in a cool, dark cabinet away from the stove or windows. However, delicate oils with a shorter shelf life (like Rosehip or Hemp Seed oil) will stay fresh much longer if you pop them in the fridge.

What happens if my Shea or Cocoa Butter melts during shipping?

Summers get hot, and sometimes natural butters melt a little on their way to your door! Don't worry, melting does not ruin the quality or the benefits of the butter. Just pop the container into the fridge until it hardens up again. It might develop a slightly grainy texture, but it will melt down beautifully smooth as soon as you heat it for your recipe.
